Suzie and I (Jim) have been full time at Colina de Luz Christian Home for Children for almost 16 years, but the Lord was preparing us for our mission long before that.

We were married way back in 1965, Hippie days, and we were hippies. Thanks to Pastors like Chuck Smith we found the Real “High” in Jesus. Both of us enjoyed working with kids – maybe because we had four of our own! Our ministry included Sunday School and Youth Group as well as Jr. Church and a sweet Home Fellowship.

While in prayer with some good friends one night, the Lord put on our hearts . . . México, and through a series of “divine circumstances” we were led to the Orphanage we now live and serve at as Administrators.

After years of frequent trips the Lord burdened our hearts to make a decision and our “jobs” were left behind as well as all the “stuff” that bogged us down.

Now we have a huge Mexican family of children (usually around 75) staff (of 20) apart from our 4 “originals” plus 5 grandchildren, 3 dogs, a cat and whatever else our Colina kids bring home.

It remains our goal for our Colina de Luz family to touch the lives of the Mexican people with the Gospel of Jesucristo (Jesus Christ) as well as work along side 27 local Mexican Churches towards that end.
